Julius “JuJu” Ballo turned professional on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, beating Brandan Ayala by unanimous decision on a Top Rank card streamed live on ESPN+.

The debut followed a landmark co-promotional agreement between OTX Boxing and Top Rank, signed after Ballo finished his amateur career roughly 51–8 as the #1-ranked U.S. amateur featherweight, with Junior Pan American Games gold and two USA Boxing Elite National titles.

“Julius Ballo is the entire package,” Top Rank founder Bob Arum said of the signing, “a sensational young fighter with the ability and personality to be a superstar in the sport.”
