Julius “JuJu” Ballo is an undefeated American professional boxer from East County San Diego, competing at featherweight for OTX × Top Rank. Born April 20, 2003, boxing since age three, and 4–0 as a pro.

Julius Ballo grew up in East County San Diego — Santee and Lakeside — in a Chaldean-American family, and started boxing at three under his father, Yasir Ballo.
The amateur run backed it up: back-to-back Monkstown International Box Cup titles in Ireland in 2017 and 2018, a Western Regional Open title, the 2020 USA Boxing Youth National Championship, and then gold at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games. He was named USA Boxing’s 2021 Youth Boxer of the Year, won the USA Boxing Elite National Championship in both 2021 and 2022, and added the 2024 National Golden Gloves. He closed his amateur career roughly 51–8 as the #1-ranked U.S. amateur featherweight.
In 2025 he signed a landmark co-promotional deal with OTX Boxing and Top Rank, managed by James Prince. Bob Arum called him “the entire package.” He debuted that July at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, live on ESPN+, and won.
The pro launch was built city by city: New York, then Los Angeles, then a sold-out hometown card at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside in April 2026, then Detroit’s Fox Theatre in August 2026, where he pitched a 60–54 shutout before a record crowd. Four fights, four unanimous decisions. The full record →
He trains at Bomber Squad Academy in El Cajon under Berlin Kerney IV, alongside his father. Orthodox stance, 5′5″, and known for three things: speed, ring IQ, explosiveness.
